Illuminate Labs at Nordic Games 2010

The Nordic Games main conference is held 28-29 of April in Malmö, Sweden.

Illuminate Labs software engineers Niklas Harrysson and Mathias Wahlin will be holding a session in the tools and tech section, called Precomputed Global Illumination.

Session Summary: 

Global Illumination (GI) makes games look real and creates a feeling that objects and characters belong in the environment. By precomputing GI you can achieve the highest visual quality and at the same time get predictable performance on both high- and low-end platforms. This presentation will cover the main benefits/challenges when implementing a precomputed GI solution into your pipeline.

Biography:

Niklas Harrysson and Mathias Wahlin are both senior software engineers with an extensive experience in the games industry. Niklas has been with Illuminate Labs since the start in 2002 and Mathias has previously worked as a programmer at Grin and SimBin in Göteborg.
